Neither is interested in a switch relationship, but neither is willing to give up their Dom side, either. They have strong feelings for each other, can they make it work? As Eric learns about the world of vampires and decides whether he can deal with it or not, the other vampires have to figure out whether they can deal with Kendra, their third in command, submitting to a human who some of them feel is so far beneath them on the evolutionary ladder. Can Kendra and Eric battle all of this to find happiness?

Karyl’s Review:

Safeword Storm Clouds was a mostly disappointing read. The writing style and dialogue was simple and amateurish, which is unfortunate because the book had real promise and a good story line. I was confused as to what the plot of the story really was and noticed that there were too many sub plots with no real crux.

I just couldn’t buy into the sincerity of the main characters and their emotions towards each other. I really hate giving bad reviews, but on a positive note about the author, she did have a good grasp of the BDSM lifestyle and how to write a believable bondage scene. The first scene between Eric and Kendra was a little long and drawn out when it came to the rope tying details (sometimes less is more) and I found myself being turned off rather than turned on by the time they actually got to do the deed.

So, with that being said, I think that the book could have been better since the story line was original, but too much of it was unbelievable and I had a hard time taking it seriously.
